About the Past Pupils’ Union

The St. David’s Past Pupils’ Union (PPU) exists to support, connect and celebrate the thousands of students who have passed through St. David’s Holy Faith Secondary School in Greystones.

Our aim is to build a strong, active alumni community that stays connected to the school and to one another – whether you graduated last year or decades ago.

What We Do

Connect Past Pupils

We create opportunities for past pupils to reconnect with classmates, teachers and the wider St. David’s community through events, communications and informal networks.

Support the School

We work with school leadership to support key initiatives, celebrate student achievements and contribute to the continued development of St. David’s.

Give Back Locally

Where possible, we support charitable and community-focused projects in Greystones and the surrounding area, reflecting the values of the school and its past pupils.

How the PPU Works

The PPU is run on a voluntary basis by a committee of past pupils, elected and appointed from a range of graduating years. The committee is responsible for setting priorities, coordinating activities and ensuring that the Union remains open, inclusive and sustainable.

Typical areas of focus include:

  • Organising reunions, social gatherings and networking events
  • Maintaining communication channels with past pupils (website, email and social media)
  • Collaborating with school staff and the Board of Management on relevant initiatives
  • Exploring ways for alumni to contribute time, expertise and support

For Past Pupils

Whether you live locally or abroad, the PPU is here to help you stay connected to St. David’s.

By joining our mailing list and attending events, you can:

  • Reconnect with friends and classmates
  • Grow your personal and professional network
  • Stay informed about what’s happening at the school
  • Contribute to future PPU projects and initiatives

For the School & Community

A strong alumni network benefits current students, staff and the wider community. Over time, the PPU hopes to:

  • Support mentoring, talks and career insights from past pupils
  • Assist with school and community fundraising initiatives
  • Highlight the achievements of St. David’s students and alumni

If you have ideas or would like to get involved, we would be delighted to hear from you.
